Mission Statement
In 2015 after spending nearly two decades in the manufacturing and distribution of flooring products, Thomas Agrachov, cofounder and COO, ventured to create Ironbound Surfaces LLC (IBS) in order to solve a long-standing problem between developers, distributors, and flooring installation professionals.
There has always been conflict on projects between the installation professionals and the quality the flooring products purchased by the owners/ developers/ general contractors. The issues arise once flooring has been installed and there is a failure. The finger-pointing begins. The flooring installers blame the failures on faulty product while the manufacturers and trained flooring inspectors agree that the vast majority of flooring failures result from improper preparation of the sub-straight and/ or not following the manufactures installation guidelines. Issues also arise when installers try to appease the customer against their better judgment. They do the customers bidding even though it goes against manufacture guidelines. This results in failures as well. The final problem occurs when floors are not properly protected and maintained after installation. At IBS we pride ourselves in thoroughly understanding the products that we are preparing to install and ensure that the building sub-straight is ready to accept the flooring.
To ensure successful installation, our project managers are trained to run a job from beginning to end with no shortcuts. All our preparation, leveling, installation professionals are rigorously trained in our methods from apprenticeship. Our project managers are promoted from within the organization which further ensures that their skills and knowledge are honed in order that they understand that each professional working under them is following the correct methods specified on the project.

President & CFO
Our President and CFO Jesse Allison came into the flooring industry 10 years ago after nearly ten years in luxury hotel and hospitality design skills she joined her husband Thomas agrachov in the flooring industry and headed up “Wood Library” their flagship flooring showroom in Hoboken New Jersey. After a few years the couple decided two engage in a more reaching endeavor by creating their own brand of flooring to bring a fresh look and high grade of products than those available inn the industry. Helena Flooring was launched in 2015 and has quickly become one old the fastest growing brands in the East coast of the United States with plans of going national by 2025. Today Jesse is the glue at IBS and has helped our company gain WBE status with the state of NJ.

Our COO Thomas Agrachov has been a leading professional in the flooring industry for nearly 25 years. He is the CEO of Newark Flooring which is one of the premier flooring and tile distributors in the tri-state area. His vision for Ironbound Surfaces LLC was to create a vertically integrated flooring company that fully understands all facets for manufacturing, preparation, leveling, and flooring installation. The companies mission is to provide our customers a high level of comfort and peace of mind Flooring project. We do it, right!
